Marcos Bribiesca
Marcos Bribiesca earned a bachelor's degree in economics with a specialization in pre-law from West Texas A&M.
From 2015 to 2020, Bribiesca represented Team USA in Olympic-style weightlifting. His unwavering determination enabled him to travel to various countries with the team and set numerous state and national records. Since retiring from his Olympic pursuit, Bribiesca has transitioned into coaching powerlifting for the Special Olympics. Three of his athletes have achieved national or international success. Since 2020, Bribiesca has been employed in the financial services industry, holding diverse roles in advising offices. His responsibilities have included developing the technology infrastructure for an office from the ground up, designing case and plan strategies, advising and closing clients, and providing back-office support.
Residing in Amarillo, Texas, Bribiesca enjoys his free time on the golf course, despite his limited proficiency in the sport. He also experiments with new smoking recipes with friends and family, and takes his dog on hiking trails in Palo Duro Canyon or leisurely walks around his neighborhood.
